Looking for a delicious and simple recipe for the classic Christmas Swedish dish Jansson's temptation (swed. Janssons frestelse )?
Sollex has the perfect recipe, cook it and you get an incredibly creamy Jansson with a moderate anchovy flavor.

4-6 servings
1kg floury potatoes (10-12)
2 yellow onions
2 cans of anchovy fillets or 32 fillets (250g)
anchovy broth from one of the cans
3dl whipping cream
1dl milk
2 tbsp breadcrumbs
butter
- Preheat the oven to 225°.
- Peel and cut the potatoes into fine strips. Peel and thinly slice the onion.
- Fry the onion softly in butter without it taking color.
- Arrange the potatoes, onions and anchovies in a greased baking dish. Finish with the potatoes. Pour in the anchovy broth from one of the cans and the cream mixed with the milk. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs and add a few knobs of butter.
- Bake the Jansson temptation in the middle of the oven for 50-60 minutes.
